Tatjana Reic, MSc. President of the Croation Society for Liver Diseases, Hepatos

Tatjana Reić is a prominent European liver health advocate with over two decades of experience advancing patient‑centred policies, prevention, and equitable access to care. As President and Founder of the Croatian Society for Liver Diseases “Hepatos,” she established the country’s first national organisation dedicated to liver patients and has been instrumental in strengthening advocacy, education, and outreach for people affected by hepatitis and other liver diseases. Under her leadership, Hepatos launched the Mobile InfoHep Centre—the only mobile liver health clinic in Croatia and the Western Balkans—delivering testing, counselling, and linkage to care to underserved and high‑risk populations.

At the European and global levels, Tatjana has played a key role in shaping hepatitis elimination efforts, including serving as President of the European Liver Patients’ Association (ELPA) and contributing to landmark policy achievements with the European Parliament and the World Health Organization. She continues to advocate for patient‑led, prevention‑focused approaches to liver disease through her engagement in international public health and civil society forums. Tatjana Reić holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and a Master of Science from the University of Zagreb, Croatia.
